Quito or Guayaquil – Isabela Island

From Ecuador’s mainland flight to Baltra Island on the Galapagos Archipelago. After clearing customs and paying your Galapagos entrance fee, our representative will meet you at the airport exit and arrange your transportation to the place where you will take the small plane for the scenic inter-island flight to Isabela Island. Upon your arrival to the Puerto Villamil airport, our representative will welcome and transfer you to Hotel Marita. After enjoying lunch and a short rest at the hotel, our local guide will take you on a walking tour to explore the rewarding tourism sites of Puerto Villamil, including the wetland lagoons and the giant tortoise breeding center. Wrap up your day at the stunning white sand beach directly in front of the hotel. Dinner is included.


Isabela Island - Sierra Negra Volcano Tintoreras Islets

Enjoy a delicious breakfast early in the morning before setting out to explore Isabela Island’s Sierra Negra Volcano. With a private transport, we go up to the National Park control post from where we start a 2 hour hike. This exciting hike takes us to the rim of the caldera of the volcano, which is considered the second largest in the world (after Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania). From here, you can observe a huge recent lava flow resulting from the last eruption in 2005. During our hike, you will enjoy the beautiful native forest and wildlife including Darwin finches, flycatchers, mockingbirds, and occasionally the Galapagos hawk. We will transport you back to the hotel in Puerto Villamil for a late lunch. In the afternoon, you will be free to enjoy the beach and visit the lovely town on your own. Enjoy the magnificent sunset at dusk! Dinner is included.


Isabela Island Tintoreras Islets – Santa Cruz Island

In the morning, after breakfast, we will transport you to the wharf of Puerto Villamil where we board the bay cruiser to explore the reefs and islets located off the shores of Isabela Island. During this visit, we will take a walk over volcanic terrain while enjoying the view of wildlife including herons, masked and blue footed boobiesmarine iguanas, and some Galapagos penguins. In the lava crevasses, we you can spot white tipped reef sharks. If desired, you can also enjoy snorkeling in the shallow reefs. We will then return to the hotel for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, we transfer you to the pier where we board our Galapagos Serenity speed boat for a pleasant 3 hour ride towards Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island. At your arrival, our representative will meet you and take you to the Ikala Hotel. Check in and enjoy some down time. Dinner is included.


Highlands of Santa Cruz Island & Charles Darwin Station

The day stars with breakfast at Ikala Hotel and then, we transport you up to the highlands of the island. Our tour starts with a nice walk around the craters of Los Gemelos, a natural volcanic formation surrounded by a beautiful forest of high growing endemic daisies. This area is home to some of the most elusive land birds of Galapagos including the “Pájaro Brujo” (Pyrocephalus rubinus nanus). After, we will transport you to a private farm known as “Manzanillo” where you will be able to enjoy the view of Galapagos wildlife in their natural state. Enjoy lunch at the farm’s restaurant and then head back to Ikala Hotel. In the afternoon, we visit the well-known Charles Darwin Station and the Galapagos National Park M. Cifuentes visitor center where we can observe the embalmed body of the world famous “Lonely George” Galapagos Turtle. This is followed by some free time. Dinner is not included on this day, but we suggest you enjoy dinner at one of the many great restaurants in town.


Morning Visit to Santa Cruz Island Tortuga Bay Beach

In the morning, our guide will take you for a ½ day visit to one of the most beautiful beaches in the archipelago, the famous Tortuga Bay Beach. We will follow a cobbled path surrounded by beautiful Opuntia cactus forest, accompanied by the beautiful singing of mockingbirds. After approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour of walking along the 2.5km path, we will arrive at the stunning white sand beach. Here you will find an area with strong wind and waves recommend only for experienced sea surfers. From this point, we continue for about 15 to 20 minutes to a second area where you will find a colony of marine iguanas. After crossing a mangrove area, we reach a secluded beautiful spot with a bay of calm water. This place is ideal for swimming and kayaking. You may be lucky enough to spot marine turtles, blue footed boobies, Galapagos pelicans and lots of finches.

Walk back to Ikala Hotel (or take a local ferry). Enjoy free time for lunch and in the afternoon, take advantage of your last handicrafts shopping experience and get to know the small city on your own. In the evening, we will enjoy a farewell dinner in the Terrace Bar Restaurant together with some drinks and perhaps some salsa dancing!     


Puerto Ayora – Baltra Airport

In the morning, we will transfer you to the Itabaca Channel. After crossing it, using the airport buses, our guide will take you to Baltra Airport for your check in at the counter of the airline. Our tour services end here. Enjoy a nice flight back home!
