Cerro Tijeretas

Cerro Tijeretas is place with a spectacular view of the ocean. This beautiful lookout point has clear-blue water filled with  fish and sea turtles, making it the perfect place for a quick dive. This area is also home to several species of frigate birds.

Junco Lagoon

One of Galapagos’ most famous crater lake. There’s a trail around the lake with jaw dropping views of the island, the coastline, and the sea. Many species of birds inhabit the lake area including the endemic San Cristóbal mockingbird and white-cheeked pintail. The name “El Junco” is a reference to the endemic sedge, which can be found close to the lake.

León Dormido (Kicker Rock)

This rock formation is an eroded cone of an extinct volcano in the shape of a sleeping lion, which resulted in its name “Leon Dormido.” It is home to various Blue-Footed Boobies, Frigatebirds, California Sea Lions, and  Red-billed Tropicbirds. The Kicker Rock is very famous and visited every year by several tourists because its location and unique ecosystem makes it an underwater paradise. An incredible amount of sharks and bright-colored fishes are part of the ecosystem as well,  making it a great dive site.

Puerto Chino has one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos. It is a very popular destination for local families tourists because of its natural beauty.
